Medical IV Infusions In The Comfort Of Your Home

At Superior Nursing, our dedicated team of licensed nurses specialize in home IV therapy, including IVIg, as well as central port and PICC line dressing changes.

Many people can receive doctor-prescribed IV medication therapy at home with the support of one of our dedicated nurses. In-home IV infusions are safe, effective, and less costly than hospital-administered medications.

The IV drugs are delivered via a port that has been surgically placed by a doctor. These are referred to as a PICC line or central port.

We work with patients dealing with rare and chronic immunodeficiency and autoimmune disorders that require treatment with IVIg (Immunoglobulins). We also work with patients who need regular infusions of steroids, anti-infectives, or chemotherapy or oncology drugs to deal with acute diagnoses.

What is In Home IV Therapy

Infusion or IV therapy involves the intravenous or subcutaneous administration of prescribed drugs or biologicals in the comfort of your home. We also work with patients and families to educate them so they are comfortable with what to expect during this process.

The home infusion process typically requires coordination among multiple entities, including patients, physicians, pharmacies, nursing coordinators, and, if applicable, home health agencies. Our experienced staff can help guide you through this confusing process.

Your doctor can fill out our Referral Form to begin the process

Once the infusion agency receives the orders from the pharmacy, one of our home infusion nurses will contact you to schedule a date and time that works best with your busy lifestyle and medication schedule. The pharmacy will deliver the drugs prior to the initial treatment.

Your nurse will travel to your location each time you need an infusion and stay with you during the entire process. They assess your vital signs and reactions to the medication, They also change the dressing prior to the start of the infusion. The nurse will remain with you until the infusion is complete and to respond in the event of any changes.

Talk to your doctor to find out if this is an option for you.

“Original and with an innate understanding of their client's needs, the team at Superior Nursing are always a pleasure to work with.”
